After years of searching...

For years I have been looking for a reliable deodorant that works. I mean literally years, hundreds of dollars and many, many products later I reluctantly purchased yet another product to try. Honestly it was the packaging that got me, it was so different and the name so unique I had hopes the product would be different too.

"Pit Putty" is an organic blend of coconut oil and arrowroot powder with some awesome scents such as Geranioum/Lime, Lemon/Clove, Spearmint/Tea Tree and Lemongrass/Rosemary

I found it at Whole Foods but the company has an online and retail store too. Check out their website here, and look for them in your area.

  1. Very interesting, thank you. I have been using Alvera Aloe Roll-On Deodorant, but after looking the ingredients - it may not be as as pure as Pit Putty. To keep dry I also use Burt Bees dusting powder. Do you think it works as good as it says on the website?

  2. Hi Phyllis, I have only been using this product a week and I think it works better than anything I have ever used, including traditional products. Let me know if you try it if you have the same experience.

  3. Thanks for posting this. I'm always looking for better products without the creepy ingredients.

  4. We've been making homemade deodorant with 1/4 cup baking soda, 1/4 cup arrowroot powder, and about 6 TBSP coconut oil - I think I added more coconut oil - you add enough to make it a nice paste. I keep it in a jar and apply with fingertips. LOVE IT! My daughter who used to use the extra strength Mitchum antiperspirant LOVES the coconut oil one also and it WORKS great!! Don't know what will happen in the summer though - might have to keep it in the fridge. :)
